Zhujiajiao Water Town

On the outskirts of Shanghai, there is a quiet and comfortable ancient town, which is called Zhujiajiao. In the morning, Zhujiajiao is the liveliest. There are restaurants selling steaming meat in the street; there are rumbling workshops selling silk quilts; there are small shops selling suave Jiangnan silk; there are bright and stylish shops selling literary tea sets, which repeats the business trajectory that comes with Jiangnan Water Town. Occasionally, there are some boat vendors selling vegetables on the shore of the bridge. You can buy some vegetables and pick up the fresh river food to cook and start a good day.

It’s a good thing to kill time on Caohe Street, because there are two places where you will be fascinated (Cat Empty Bookstore and Daqing Post Office), and when you are tired, you can find a favorite riverside teahouse to have a rest. Although it is not a good season to taste tea, it is a good time for drinking tea. If you love to drink tea, as always, drinking Longjing, only for the freshness of the first tea.

Zhujiajiao Water Town is known as “Shanghai Venice” and “Shanghai Suburb Hollywood”. The small bridge in the town has the title of “Jiangnan Pearl”. There are 36 ancient bridges in Zhujiajiao, which are simple and elegant. 9 long streets are built on the water. The residential houses are built according to the water. Featuring the type of Ming and Qing architecture, the ancient style still exists. In particular, the five-hole stone arch release bridge across the Ming Dynasty building in Dagang was built in the Ming Dynasty and is very beautiful. It is one of the oldest stone arch bridges in Shanghai and the first of the ten scenic spots in Zhujiajiao.

Zhujiajiao Water Town is not as lively as Wuzhen and Zhouzhuang. The guests on a day trip usually leave at 16:00 or 17:00 in the afternoon. When the sun sets, people leave, the shops close and the streets and lanes become quiet and elegant.

Longji Rice Terraces

The Longji Rice terraces have been a wonder of the world with the sweat of generations by the ancestors of the Yao and Zhuang nationalities for thousands of years.

The four seasons of the Longji terraces are very beautiful, and each season there has its own merits. Especially in the spring (about mid-June), the terraces that have been filled with water after the transplanting are like the mirror of the sky. The autumn is golden before the autumn harvest, and the hierarchy is clear.

The valley is empty, the weak lights are a little bit, the eastern hills are brighter, and the gray clouds are slowly moving. The Longji is full of artistic charm, the water is flowing, the fields are staggered with the exquisite and magnificent lines, and the stretches are both chic and cozy. Facing the morning sun, breathing fresh air, watching the beautiful scenery of the terraces, it is easy and comfortable during your trip at Longji Rice Terraces! The Longji Rice Terraces in summer, such as the chain-like terraced mountain foot, is coiled to the top of the mountain. The green and oily rice waves are scattered and stacked, and they are extremely beautiful.

From Guilin to the Longji Rice Terraces, the road is fine. The Zhuang and Yao ancestors opened up the mountains and built the fields, in order to survive the land that was opened up, inadvertently turned into a beautiful scenery. Most of the houses in Longji still maintain the form of a stilt, which is integrated with the mountain, and looks simple and elegant, it has a sense of returning to nature. On the way back, take a look at the Ping’an zhai Zhuang terraces, it is really charming.

Although it is not the most beautiful season in the terraced fields, the simple rural life, the rich ethnic customs, the long history of terraced planting, the tranquility and elegance are also the experience and harvest of the journey.

Standing on the top of the terrace, you will feel like coming to the cloud side, a cloud side of the town, together with the clouds and the sun and you. Don’t forget take some beautiful photos there.

You can purchase exclusive tickets online, and collect tickets at the Xincheng Ticketing Center. The elderly and children who are free of charge will enter the park with their ID cards. Tickets must be purchased in advance during the peak season. If the limit is exceeded on the day, the ticket will be stopped for sale.

2,There are two kinds of sightseeing buses: bus and taxi. They are all 50 yuan/person. It is said that the taxi is faster and more convenient than the bus, but the ticket center does not sell taxi tickets. The bus rides on a bustling street, and every day is crowded.

3,The driving route of the bus is: the new city ride point – steep slope pond – Tianxing Bridge – Great Falls – New City ride point, one-way driving, and you can choose any scenic spot to get off at your own pace. There is a special line between the Star Bridge and the Great Falls. And you can ask clearly in advance when you are riding. Every time you take the bus, you will also be punched holes in the ticket. It is said that the two spots can only use the ticket for one time. So, you can take the sightseeing bus to the Tianxingqiao scenic spot on the first day, the on the next day transfer to the big waterfall directly. (The scenic spot is strictly forbidden to enter the private car, but before 6 o’clock in the morning, you can drive from the door of Huangguoshu Guest Hotel to the parking lot inside the scenic spot; you can also take the village lane on the side of Guihuang Road to drive to the self-built parking lot of the villager which is 400 meters away from the entrance of the Great Falls Scenic Area, and then walk to the scenic spot).

Tiananmen Square

Tiananmen Square will be cleared every night. There will be armed police patrolling around the square. There are a lot of people gathering at Tiananmen Square at two or three o’clock in the morning to wait to see the national flag rising. After the security check, the team waiting outside the west gate of the National Museum or outside the east gate of the Great Hall of the People has been lined up. When you watch the flag rising, don’t wander around at this time, and go to the queue will be your choice.

As time passed by, the sky becomes white, and you will obviously feel that more and more people lining up behind you, and gradually could not see the end.

Until about 5:00 o’clock, the first few dozen minutes of the flag-raising is released into the square. At this time, the police maintain the order of the road and stop the vehicle. It is at this time, if you want to watch the national flag rising, please be sure to remember, once it allows entering, just try your best to run to the square at a speed of 100 meters. Be sure to be fast, and only in this way can you grab the first row of viewing positions.

If you are slow, then you can just see the crowds around you, because the people who go to see the national flag rising every day are really a lot, you can’t see the heroic flag, you may not hear the uniform stepping sound too.

If you firmly seize the viewing position of the first row, and you clearly watch the whole process of raising the flag. The stepping sound from the Jinshui Bridge to the flagpole, is very powerful and vigorous. And after watching the flag rising, you will be full of pride and feel excited.

West Street

West Street is the most historic street in Yangshuo. It is also the most concentrated street for foreigners. Bars, restaurants, Internet cafes, crafts and calligraphy shops are decorated in the styles of both Chinese and Western. It is the most famous street in China.

The ancient buildings of the West Street, such as the Ming City Wall, the Inscriptions, the Ancient Temple, the Ancient Pavilion, the Celebrities’ Former Residence, and the Memorial Hall, are all relatively complete.

There is a river on the west side of the street. The river is spraying with water droplets. It seems to be creating an atmosphere. There is a stage opposite the river. There are performances every night. Walking on the stone road in West Street, just go slowly and appreciate the charm slowly. The shops on both sides are all open, food, toys, snacks, restaurants, bars can be seen everywhere; all bars, restaurants, hotels have almost different patterns, full of exotic atmosphere.

On the famous West Street, you will always see a lot of Westerners. They are either walking on the street in group, or sitting in the bar, listening to music and enjoying the time of life.

West Street is a Western-style foreigner street, which is a personalized face representing Yangshuo. Every year, hundreds of thousands of foreigners come and go here for sightseeing, living, working and studying in the West Street. This is not available anywhere in China. For this reason, people call China’s unique West Street “Foreigner’s Street”.

Walking to the end of the West Street, you can go to the edge of the Li River to see the scenery of Yangshuo. This section of the Li River is relatively quiet, and the water there is shallow, clear and clean. There is a small park on riverside. Many tourists are here to play. The opposite is the typical landscape of Guilin. The mountains are undulating and the countryside is beautiful.

The Stone Forest

The Stone Forest scenic area is very large. There are more than 170 scenic spots in the big Stone Forest. Many people go there to see the main attractions. Otherwise, if you look at all the big and small attractions there, you need spend more than 3 days. If you have this plan, you can choose the Yi people’s torch festival on 24th June every year and live in the scenic spot. You can not only visit all the scenic spots, but also enjoy the traditional Torch Festival of the Yi people.

The Stone Forest in Yunnan is really beautiful. The first time you see it, you will feel it very novel, the stones of different forms rise up, people can fully use their imagination. There are rental national costumes in the scenic area. The girls’ clothes are really good. You can put on a national costume to dress up Ashima.

In general, The Stone Forest has more people in the morning and evening, and around 13:00 or 14:00 at noon, it is just the gap period of the tour group, so there are not many people, and you can appreciate the scenery. For the first time having a visit in the Stone Forest, it is recommended for you looking for a tour guide to explain the various attractions and customs of the Stone Forest.

There are all kinds of strange-shaped stones in the stone forest. They have their own names, but you basically have to rely on imagination and multi-angle observation to get them. The Forest Stone Scenic Area includes many small scenic spots such as: Dashilin Scenic Area, Xiaoshilin Scenic Area, Stepping Mountain Scenic Area, Liziyuan Jing, Shilingzhi. Among them, the Dashilin and Xiaoshilin stone forest are the most famous, and it is also the place where various tour groups gather. The tour group usually takes less than two hours to take a walk in the large and small stone forest, take a photo and then leave, so there are many people there. There are very few people in the back of the Whistle Mountain.

The paths leading to the hinterland of the stone forest are full of green, making people forget to return. From time to time, there will be a few gray stones with unique shapes that break into your sight, but there is no slight sense of abruptness. The beautiful legends of “Ashima” and the ancient magical torch festival make the natural landscape of the Stone Forest and the human landscape reflect each other, making you intoxicated.

The Yellow Mountains

The Yellow Mountains is actually made up of a series of peaks, so it is not to just climb one mountain. It has a lot of peaks to climb, and there are many entrances, but most people choose to come to Tangkou Town. They can buy tickets at the scenic transfer center to take the bus. Taking the bus is the must thing to do for every climber, even if you are traveling by self-driving tour, you should park the car in the Tangkou and take the bus into the mountain. As for the choice of Qianshan (Ciguangge) or Houshan (Yungu Temple), it’s depending on everyone’s itinerary. Keep in mind that the front mountain is steep and there are more stairs. The back mountain is a little gentler, with less stairs, and it will be certainly a little more relaxed.

If you are a mountain climber or have enough physical strength, then climb the Yellow Mountains! I personally recommend taking the cable car to go up, which will be saving you a little time and physical strength, because there are more steps and peaks waiting for everyone to climb and come over. Be sure to take the cable car.
